Create directory content, FAQs and social posts with AI
Your AI assistant can write articles, FAQs, pages and social posts using the real listings, categories and knowledge in your directory, and save them as drafts you review. Directories.ai stores and schedules social posts per platform with captions checked against each platform’s limit, and gives you ready-to-paste copy.
Content that comes from your data
Generic AI copy is easy to spot. Because the assistant can read your listings and categories first, it writes about what is actually in your directory: best-of guides drawn from real listings, FAQs for each category, and city or niche pages that point to real entries.
- Articles, FAQs and pages share one content model (content_type: article, faq, page)
- create_faqs adds up to 50 FAQs in one call
- Pillar-page, blog-brief, listing-description and E-E-A-T playbooks provide structure
- Everything can be saved as a draft first, then published after a spot-check
Social posts, per platform
get_social_overview shows your channels, the voice and cadence you want, what is queued and which listings have already been featured. create_social_posts writes up to 50 posts at once, one per platform and written natively for it, and rejects captions over a platform’s limit. Every post comes back with copy_text (caption, hashtags and link) ready to paste.
Publishing to the platforms isn’t built yet: Directories.ai stores and schedules posts and you paste them out. The social-calendar and listing-spotlights playbooks plan a week of posts, tagging each business’s own accounts only when they appear in its listing.
A visitor-facing assistant that knows your directory
Add your own text and URLs to the knowledge base and configure the chat assistant embedded on your directory’s site: its name, welcome message and instructions. The assistant answers visitors from the material you provide.
Plan and publish a month of content
- 1
Connect your AI assistant
Add https://directories.ai/mcp to Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client and sign in with OAuth (or paste an organization API key if your client only supports static headers). The assistant can then only reach your own organization’s directories.
- 2
Find the gaps
Ask for the content gap and topical authority playbooks to see which questions and categories lack pages.

Try asking your assistant
- “Write five FAQs for each of my top three categories, drawn from the listings in them. Save as drafts.”
- “Draft a best-of article for my most popular category using only real listings.”
- “Plan next week’s posts for LinkedIn and Instagram, spotlighting listings we haven’t featured.”

Frequently asked questions
Does Directories.ai post to social networks for me?
Not yet. It stores, schedules and formats posts per platform and gives you ready-to-paste copy. Publishing to the platforms is not built.
Will AI-written content be published automatically?
No. Content is drafted as a draft unless you ask for it to be published or scheduled, and you can review it first.
How do I keep AI content accurate?
The assistant works from your listings and knowledge base and is instructed to state only what a listing or the business’s own site says. You review drafts before they go out.
